The only one better is Niod's Survival 30 (which has the most perfect finish of any sunscreen ever invented! It makes my skin look 10 years younger without any wetness or shine). Still, it is a 4 star UVA rated mineral product and inspite of it's shortcomings, is still the best on the market I have found. I find all of the colourescience products are warm toned, so don't suit cool toned people like myself. I don't think it needs to be lighter, but it needs to be cooler toned. I find the classic shade is a bit orange on me unfortunately. I am a fitzpatrick 2 with cool toned skin, age 37. ![]() ![]() I chose this formula because it is not too cakey or texture enhancing, acting like a light coverage BB foundation type product, so it doesn't enhance wrinkled texture of skin too much, whereas the Flex formula is more of a light foundation and brings out texture more. The formula is fluid and light and easy to apply. I have normal, but sensitive skin prone to dehydration). This brings the wetness down to a more acceptable dewy shine. So, how to address the wet look? Lots and lots of powder! I apply a good layer of fine finishing powder over the sunscreen first, then I apply a heavy layer of sunforgettables powder Sunscreen over the top (the finishing powder helps to prevent the sunscreen powder from caking). (I can't afford to do the latter, so I keep the blinds shut all day and ensure that I am not exposed to more than 2 hours of sunlight in total for the entire day!). You should technically also reapply this amount for every 2 hours of light exposure including from windows. ![]() When it comes to sunscreen, you MUST apply 2 full finger lengths or 1/4 tsp to the face, or it will not work. You cannot apply just a little bit or a single layer. And ladies, there is no such thing as "a little goes a long way" with sunscreen. HOWEVER, this is true of most sunscreens on the market. Left as is it will transfer off at the slightest touch and your hair will be sticking to your face all day, leaving streak marks. When applied in the appropriate amount of 2 finger lengths or 1/4 tsp, this sunscreen makes your face look and feel extremely wet.
